On Fatherhood

If you can get past the glaring apostrophe error in the second to last paragraph (I edited the sentence but forgot to take out the possessive!), you might enjoy my thoughts on fatherhood and the role a mom plays in the relationship development between a father and his children over at DC Metro Moms.

  1. Awesome post, Aimee! My mom was/is 100% gatekeeper, and you know, I believe that at least part of her behavior is very intentional (at least it seems that way). But I would imagine that a number of mothers act as gatekeepers when they really don't intend to. Good for you for making the effort not to fall into those bad habits. One day Lucas will realize your effort to help facilitate a great relationship with his father, and he will love you even more for it.

  2. Nice post...but it makes me worried. Even as controlling as I am, I think there's still hope I can be a gateopener :)
